Still Exhausted!

It's funny how easy it is to forget what happened yesterday let alone the day before. I was thinking about how I'm exhausted and need to get going finishing up a few errands and then getting myself to work, and oh wouldn't it be great to find a yoga class to go to today...

So I'm back on the blog and somewhat amused that my Monday entry was about exhaustion. I slept about 11 hours last night after being a miserable crank for the few hours I was awake after passing out. I must be fighting a cold or some sort of unresolved sleep debt.

Exhausted!

I can't believe it's Monday! It looks like winter outside, and there's steam rising from various buildings in the Moscone complex. It's gray and chilly, and even the vehicles below sound like they're making an effort. There's a seagull skulking around the building, and the only real bursts of color are from the flags at Moscone and the top of the Zeum, breaking up the green glass that pervades. It's times like these that I'm glad I have vacation in store...

Posting in Blogger

It's amazing how easy it is to never post from Blogger directly when all it takes is a few clicks, and you can send photos from your phone, or you can highlight some text in an article and send it on over. I just felt like putting something in here today. There's nothing new, and I need to run to work. It's hot for SF but comfortable for pretty much any normal place. I'm listening to Shawn Colvin sing through Fat City and thinking back. Facebook and its many blasts from the past is kind of a perpetual reminder. I'm tired of Sarah Palin already and find it disappointing that the political discourse is what it is. Competence appears to be well below hotness in importance for Americans. I guess that means I should work out more and work less.

Cheers -- have a great day!

Where's my tax rebate?

So the IRS should have told folks to file early if they wanted to get their rebate checks sooner, and I would have. I'm totally irritated that there is this schedule showing I should have received it over 1 week ago, and instead, I'm just waiting and checking every day to see if it has arrived. Glancing at comments all over the web, people feel the same way. Similarly, providing a tool to allow people to check for their rebate's status is good, but when it fails to provide any information, it is just another level of frustration. The error message they provide isn't particularly informative, and you don't know if you've misentered info or if they haven't yet gotten to you.

Not that this stimulus check was really going to help the economy, but being late with them probably isn't going to help much either. I wonder if any of the businesses trying to get people to spend their (physical) checks on them are getting many takers...

BTW, I hate Vista...
